Hiring: Art Director / Designer

We are looking for a full time Art Director / Designer hybrid to join our growing team.

Quirk Creative is an award-winning, WBE-certified advertising agency specializing in video-based campaigns. We produce creative—from concept development to post-production—for social, digital and broadcast channels.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Working directly with our ACD, CD and Copywriter to lead the development of strategic original concepts, campaigns and commercials for our clients. We strive for big ideas that drive real results for our clients—from impression and PR-driving brand campaigns to response and conversion driving performance campaigns.
  • Providing art direction for every shoot, which includes coordinating with stylists ahead of a shoot, taking their place on lower-budget sets, and being on set overseeing every visual element in frame.
  • Owning the creation of the campaign ecosystem – including graphic assets, video assets and other social/digital/broadcast assets. You must be familiar with how different channels can be leveraged in a single campaign.
  • Ensuring the overall visual aspects of our campaigns and commercials are engaging, consistent and the core message is clear throughout all related content.
  • Working with the new business team on building presentation materials and other client-facing materials.
  • Conducting ongoing design and brand trend research for our clients, and always be bringing fresh ideas to the table

 

You must:

  • Have 2-4 years’ experience in a creative position (agency experience a must)
  • Have video experience
  • Be fluent in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (and whatever other tools you need to craft killer designs)
  • Be familiar with the difference in brand vs. DR campaigns
  • Have an insatiable appetite for coming up with ideas.
  • Have a strong aesthetic sense with an ability to mold your designs to different brands
  • Have strong storytelling skills and craft visually compelling stories under tight deadlines
  • Be hungry to get your hands dirty in all facets of advertising–some days you’re on set for a TV production, other days you’re mocking up a lower third, and other days you’re putting together the best wardrobe mood board on the planet.
  • Be excited to work in a small team where you have tons of responsibility and room to grow
  • And you should be an absolute self-starter with a get-the-job-done mentality
