We’re Hiring: Senior Producer

Quirk Creative is based in Brooklyn. Local to New York City candidates only. Quirk Creative, ranked #3 Fast Company’s Most Innovative Workplaces, is an award-winning, WBE-certified advertising agency specializing in video-based campaigns for social, digital and broadcast channels. We are a hybrid creative strategy and production agency, with our commercial directors in house. We’re looking for a full time Senior Producer to join our growing team.

 

In this role, you’ll be expected to:

  • Work alongside the Creative department to execute and improve creative (namely TV, social and digital ads)
  • Represent a total mastery of the video production process including thorough knowledge of calendar planning, union and non-union budget projections and planning (e.g. rates and structures), legal and ethical risk, COVID safety, billing, confidentiality, and indemnification, etc.
  • Provide internal client and agency production expertise (production travel planning, expense management, client material resourcing, etc.) as well as keep up to date with all industry best practices, informing internal teams and clients of all current and future industry protocols and initiatives
  • Effectively set and manage internal and external production, budget, and timing expectations with internal teams (Accounts, Creative, New Business) and provide clearly communicated realities, solutions, and opportunities before and throughout the process
  • Oversee internal production team’s time management needs and delegate shoots / tasks accordingly
  • Guide and mentor more junior members of the team, celebrating successes in addition to delivering precise and timely feedback and follow up
  • Regularly contribute and expand upon the team’s knowledge of production partners – Directors, editors, VFX, Sound engineers, musicians, new locations, new casting avenues, etc.
  • Oversee quality control and closing out of projects in a thorough, consistent, and timely manner
  • Always lend a positive hand and lead by example (internally and externally) no matter the challenge and recognize that, as an expert within the department the team and agency look to you for proactive, productive, and constructive leadership
  • Be the first in and last out on set alongside other Producers
  • Identify and secure potential opportunities to push Quirk’s production initiatives including sustainable and inclusive production capabilities as well as working with teams to see them come to life

This should describe you:

  • 4+ years of experience producing a range of video/ audiovisual and photography content for TV, social channels, digital and OTT including large and low budget domestic and international productions, table-top and animation
  • Proven knowledge and network of production partners including directors, editors, VFX, sound engineers, musicians, etc. 
  • Advanced knowledge of the production process including significant experience and knowledge regarding union and non-union talent, BA, insurance, bid rate structures, and international (non-US) productions
  • Excited to work in a small team where you have tons of responsibility and room to grow
  • Fiscally responsible
  • Super detail oriented and hyper organized
  • An absolute self-starter with a get-the-job-done mentality
  • Willing to travel for shoots, including international shoots
