Jackpocket approached us with one of the most exciting challenges to date: creating a brand mascot for their lottery app. The opportunity to play in a creative sandbox and develop a completely original character was liberating. However, the key to crafting a truly impactful character lies in defining imaginative boundaries that consistently tie back to the brand. These guidelines allowed us to ideate a range of characters, from human, brand-based to non-human, conceptual figures.
Creative Solution
After creating a diverse pool of potential mascots (including a monster made entirely of denim) Jack In The Pocket emerged as the clear favorite. This humorous, lottery-obsessed, action-figure-sized character is the perfect blend of wackiness and approachability. We brought Jack to life using innovative on-location green screen techniques, crafting a hilarious spot that features people being unexpectedly surprised by a visit from Jack while going about their everyday tasks.
