CHALLENGE
Book of the Month, established 1926, offers a choice of the five best new books each month to its members. They wanted TV spots that would convey the entertainment and joy of their product while driving subscriptions.
SOLUTION
Book of the Month is essentially an entertainment company; books may be the medium, but what they sell (to their majority female millennial audience) is pleasure and fun. In fact, real Book of the Month customers admitted they often prefer reading over sex. We created a fun, playful spot where women at work discuss the pleasures of Book of the Month using loaded sentences that can be read as… discussing a different kind of pleasure.
