Carbonite needed an attention catching campaign to promote their newest product, Endpoint 360, which backs up endpoints and enterprise data stored on Microsoft Office 365. Their target was IT decision makers in mid-sized and enterprise companies, and they wanted to cut through the noise in a sea of bland, technical, B2B tech ads.

68% of organizations don’t think their SaaS (software as service) data requires backups, but Endpoint 360 exists to backup data from situations not covered by native tools. We decided to attack the prime pain point: a lack of awareness that the service was needed. We leaned into an IT truth: the biggest data risk is human error, and illustrated business people facing data risks with an exaggerated, cheery obliviousness that spoke to the problem and educated the risks, while remaining watchable, enjoyable, and shareable.

The campaign lived across digital channels, including digital display targeted to IT Manager and Reseller audiences, YouTube and Native and LinkedIn video placements.
